Full Body Skin Cancer Examination
In order to get the most out of your skin check, during the appointment we will aim to comprehensively check as much of your skin surface as possible. The doctor or our trained photographer will take images of any lesions which are of clinical importance. This assists with planning biopsies, surveillance, treatment, and for follow up checks after certain treatments. You will be offered access to these images via the Molescope app. Please make sure to read the information on how to prepare your skin for your skin check appointment.
Total Body Photography (TBP)
At your first appointment we recommend that you have a set of Total Body Photographs (TBP) taken by our trained photographer. These high resolution photographs aim to image as much of your skin surface as possible. Assisted by AI, these full body image records are taken and securely stored in order to detect new or changing lesions at future skin checks . Serial TBP is an important tool in melanoma detection for people who are at higher risk of developing melanoma, such as people with many moles or a personal or family history of melanoma - read more as to why total body photography is important.
